Meet Duque
*majestick trumpet music plays in the background* introducing Duque! That’s me. It is Spanish for Duke and pronounced “doo-keh”.
I’m looking for a family that will love me through thick and thin, mostly thick since my hair is very plush. Seriously, I could be a shampoo model with these red and black locks.
You don’t have to live at Barkingham Palace to adopt me. I don’t know if I’m actually of royal hairytage or not, but I am a bone-e-fide hunk.
I am very friendly and love people and attention. I did not have the benefit of much training or socialization when I was a puppy but I am very smart and show great pawtential for learning quickly.
I am currently working on trying not to react when I see other dogs. I do bark when I see other dogs, but once properly introduced I do fine. I made friends with my little Aussie pal in about 15 minutes. So it’s not a long warm up. I have been doing well with the leash and we have been working on “place.”
I really enjoy having a doggie playmate and do fine living with one. I make a very good dog friend and love to play. But I do not make good friends to K-hats…caKatszz, you know, those meowy things. I need a home without any meow meows.
The Volunteer said I should answer a fun question. If I was a car, what kind? A red Fur-ari, of course. What kind of car would you be? I hope it’s one that can come pick me up!
