NOTE:  All dogs are being fostered in  private homes in the area of Austin/Round Rock/Cedar Park/Dripping Springs unless otherwise noted on the individual dog's page.  You will be asked to go meet the dog at the foster location. We don't bring the dog to you.  The application process consists of contacting your vet (if applicable) and three references, and a virtual home visit. Upon approval, you will be contacted and invited to visit the dog you are interested in.

    references

Only one family member can be listed as a reference and they must live outside the home. Please let your references know that someone from our organization will be calling them.  Many people don't answer the phone from a stranger and this delays your application process, when we can't get hold of your references.

    veterinary information

Please complete this section if you currently have or previously had a pet.

Notify your vet clinic that German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas will be calling for verification.  Please make sure that the veterinarian has your name and your pet's name on record. If your records are under a different name, or we don't have the name of the pet, this will delay  your application processing.
