Meet Darcy
Hi everyone. My name is Darcy. It’s the dog version of Marcy just replaced the M with a D. Speaking of MDs, I did go to the Doctor to get my ear fixed and by fixed, it had to be removed.
Now that my ear situation is taken care of, I can get down to more important tasks on my list. I love to chew bones, especially hard bones and water buffalo horns. It’s not so much the taste that intrigues me, it’s the gnaw gnaw gnaw feeling on my teeth that I enjoy. You should try it!
I’m around 3 years old and weigh about 65 pounds which is a modest yet substantial size. Yes, yes, I am just as sweet as I look. In fact, instead of calling me Darcy, you’ll probably call me Sweetie Pie, Sweet Potato, Sweetheart, Sweet Tea and My Little Chicken Nugget, because honestly you need some variety on nicknames or you aren’t doing it right.
No one is sure why, but I came into the rescue with double ear trouble, I also had one with hematoma and that was corrected but my ear is a bit in curly.
Foster Mom has fostered ALOT of dogs and I had the most trouble with ears that she’s ever dealt with and even though I lost an ear, she’s just glad I feel better and I’m not in chronic pain anymore.
I get along with and tend to be the submissive one with all my foster brothers and sisters. Of course, like many neglected Texas pups, I did test positive for heartworm. My treatment is complete, and I’m negative now.
Oh my, here I am talking about my ear so much, I forgot to mention my favorite food is filet mignon. I’ve never had it, but I figure aim high. Life can only go up from here.
So if you’re looking for a sweet gentle gal, Darcy is your girl! This lovely lady only has one ear, but she’s still twice as beautiful as most dogs! And she is now heartworm negative!
