Meet Avery

Foster Mom says I have “typical puppy energy”. Indeed! Being out of the scary shelter felt like when a little kid goes to Chuck E Cheese for the first time or when a shoe lover goes to DSW the first time and sees the rows of shoes. It’s like “whoaaaaaaa, this is fun!” You know?

Speaking of shoes. I love them. Old shoes, new shoes, hard to tell the difference sometimes. So don’t leave your good ones out for me, but you can give me your old ones. If I get the wrong one trade me for it. Of course, new shoes don’t have that same footy aroma as used shoes. I mind very well when I know what I’m supposed to do.

Foster Mom is providing me with feelings of safety, security, love and guidance. But the number one things I enjoy her provding me is FOOOODDDD! When I am not eating the FOOOOOD, I enjoy plaing with all the other dogs here. I am the youngest so I am learning from them.

I go in my crate for a treat, or to eat and sleep in there without a fuss. I will let you know when I need to get out to go potty. I do very well on a leash for a puppy. I am sweet and won’t be a very big dog. I weigh 30 lbs at 6 months so I will still grow. I have a cute almost Shiba Inu look about me, but I am likely a German Shepherd mix.

I am ready to start our adventures. Foster Mom doesn’t have a swimming pool so I just pretend the water bowl is one. Anything can be an adventure if you try hard enough. I hope to meet you soon.
