Zoe is not currently spayed but could be placed in a foster to adopt home that is local to the Austin area. She would then be scheduled for spay at 6 months of age, with the Rescue's vet clinic. If Zoe is to be adopted out of the Austin area, then she will be spayed prior to finalizing her adoption.
Zoe is an independent gal with a playful and curious nature. Her fur is super soft and she's always up for a good petting and lots of belly rubs. She loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home and can definitely hold her own with the big dogs. Zoe is a very inquisitive pup and loves to explore the yard, searching for anything new and exciting.
Zoe loves food and treats; she takes treats very nicely and will sit in anticipation for the tasty morsel. She also likes playing with the toys available in her foster home, anything that makes squeaky noises are her favorite.
Zoe can be a very mischievous puppy at times so will need to be engaged with toys and various activities to keep her busy. She enjoys a good “rooting around” in her dog bed or blankets to get them in perfect placement for a nap.
Of course, being a young puppy, she is still in the early stages of learning. She is working on mastering potty training and is crate trained, she sleeps in her crate at night but will alert us with a few whimpers if she needs to go out for a potty break. Zoe is working on basic commands (sit, wait, come), learning to walk on a leash and experiencing new noises and places.
Zoe would do best with a playful, laid-back dog friend that will be tolerant of her puppyness and who will help her burn energy.
Zoe has not been around children in her foster home, but we feel that she would be fine with older children as she is still learning not to jump or mouth. She has not been around cats, but we feel at this young age, she could learn to coexist with a cat.
Zoe is a gorgeous girl and would make a great addition to an active home that will provide love, structure and good leadership. If Zoe sounds like she'd be the perfect match for your new family member, please fill out an application.
