Wren is a lovable mini female German Shepherd. She may be small in size but definitely has a big personality.
Wren was in the shelter for a couple of months before coming into foster care, so she had a little catching up to do since she is still just a youngster. She is learning how to be a dog, sharing toys, learning commands, taking her meals with the other dogs in her foster home and signaling when she needs a potty break. Wren is also finding her barking voice, which sounds more like a hound dog, adding to her unique and endearing personality.
Wren has quite a few favorites in her foster home - yummy treats and food, toys and bones to play with, a large yard for doing zoomies, doggy brothers and sisters to play with and learn from, and lots of cuddles. In fact, if there is no room next to foster mom, because one of the other dogs is laying by her, then I like to lay on her and listen to her heart beating and dream about my future adoptive family.
Wren is crate trained and she sleeps in her crate at night but will alert us if she needs to go out for a potty break. Wren has not been around children in her foster home, but we feel that she would be fine with older children as she is still learning not to jump or mouth. She has not been around cats in her foster home and does show some prey drive tendencies so would probably do best in a cat free home.
Wren would do best with a playful, laid-back dog friend that will be tolerant of her puppy-ness.
Wren is a bundle of energy, but she is well on her way to becoming a well-behaved and loyal companion. With her affectionate nature and her love for play, Wren is sure to bring a smile to everyone she meets. She would make a great addition to an active home that will provide love, structure and good leadership.
