Meet Willow

Hi there! My name is Willow. A willow tree stands for hope, safety and a sense of belonging, although most male dogs just consider a tree to be a restroom! Am I right? But I digress, back to the subject at hand. My very dignified name is right on point with my need to feel safe and part of a family.

I was a part of a family at some point but was surrendered to a south Texas shelter. Foster Mom isn’t sure why, but it was probably one of those “it’s not you, it’s me” situations and has nothing to do with me not being an extraordinarily good girl.

Foster Mom has found my overall demeanor to be gentle and calm. I am incredibly human focused while still maintaining good play vibes with the other dogs. I am crate and house trained and very trustworthy in the house. I use the doggie door to go to the restroom. It’s a neat invention.

I am listed as 7 years old but Foster Mom says I seem younger to her. Well shucks, you seem younger too Foster Mom! I have much enjoyed eating food, playing with dogs and napping in a safe comfy space. This is much nicer than a shelter.

I am searching for a person who enjoys a human oriented dog. We can do all sorts of activities. For example, buy several boxes of chicken nuggets and do some taste testing to determine if the blob shaped ones taste the same as the dinosaur shaped ones. I bet they do. And that’s just one idea! I have tons more.

Please look into my eyes, I’m hypnotizing you to fill out an application. I hope it worked!
