Meet Sheldon
Hi there! I know it’s not Tongue Out Tuesday but I’m a dog so I do Tongue Out Monday, Tuesday, Winds, Windys, Winnysday, okay, you get the idea. It’s every day! Even a strawberry fruit roll up would play second fiddle to this happy slurp.
Sheldon! It’s my name. Sounds as if I’m a turtle or maybe a squirrel but I’m a dog. I’m a 2 year old, 70ish pound German Shepherd. My tongue is always hanging out after I exercise! I love to do fetch and have a good drive. I love playing with toys and dogs too.
I love my Foster humans and I’m extremely loyal, very loving and lovable and snuggleable. I’m still working on jumping up but I’ll get it because I’m a fast learner. I already picked up on basic commands. Hey, maybe I’m named after sitcom physicist Sheldon Cooper because I’m very smart and do know my sit-comes!
I am house broken and crate trained after a 10 minute protest about having to go in it, then I settle nicely. I’m good on walks and an all around happy boy. I do need regular reinforcement to remember my commands so practice makes perfect.
I really enjoy having a foster dog brother. Humans are nice but there’s something special about having a pal who speaks your language. So we can you know chat about the humans.
Fur instance, if your Human cuts a treat in half to make two treats you can look over at your dog pal and be like “can you believe they think we don’t notice!!!” with your eyes.
I wasn’t too into food when I first got here after being malnourished but I’m getting used to fine dining. I cannot wait to learn more at your house and chase a ball in your yard, I hope it’s a big one! Long as my tongue!
