Meet Otto!
Hi y’all my name is Otto. I’m a 2 1/2 year old 68 pound German Shepherd. If you are looking to brighten up even the most dreary day, my happy mood and big smile can get the job done.
I am all that and a bag of Fritos. I am protective but gentle, sweet and goofy, and very loyal. True to my breed! I maintain a sweet disposition. My favorite place is wherever you are and I crave attention.
I am Heartworm positive and currently taking Doxycycline and Prednisone for the beginning stages of the slower method heartworm treatment and am given monthly flea and heartworm prevention.
I have not met cats or kids at my Foster House, but I have been good with girl dogs I’ve met. I am potty trained. I am not crate trained. I broke out of that jelly cell quick! I do not enjoy being crated or kenneled.
I was owner surrendered to the City of Caldwell Animal Control and later rescued once a nice lady heard my last day was coming up. Last day?? Whatever that means.
At my Foster House I’m adjusting well. I know how to do a “sit” for a treat. I am a big sweetheart and would be a full time lap dog if Foster Mom’s schedule allowed for that.
I don’t really play with toys often but do partake in beef cheek rolls. I favor them so much so that I bury them in the yard when I am not chewing on it to avoid the other dogs getting ahold of it.
I am looking for a nice human to give me attention and pats. Anywhere! Especially my head, chin, and belly!
