Meet Maxie
Meow, meow, meoooowww. Yep. I am fluent in Feline. Not literally of course, but the cats at my first Foster Home made me a member of a very exclusive club. They called it The World Denomeownation Association and the secret entry word was “biscuit” the kneading cat kind of biscuit not the doggie treat kind, to be clear.
I do have a bit of social anxiety and the fact that the cats just ignored me and I didn’t actually need to socialize was rather refreshing. Plus they smelled of tuna and salmon which was quite pleasing.
I’m at a new Foster Home now that has lots of dogs. I’m not interested in socializing with them yet. I’m just very shy and fearful, but no aggression at all so Foster Mom thinks, I just need more socialization.
I did have a bond with a dog at the shelter that they also rescued called Bruno. The humans suspect he is my son, as he favored my looks a lot. Beautiful coat. I would clean his ears and lick him and just fuss over him.
I will do better in a quiet household. really active young children would probably not be good but older dog savvy ones would probably be okay. I’m just scared and need some space.
They aren’t sure what my first 6 years were, but obviously not fantastic with rainbows and kittens. Well maybe kittens since I’m good with cats, but no rainbows and sparkles.
I’m looking for a patient family that would be willing to let me settle and blossom and gain confidence and comfort. Is that you?
