Meet Loki
Hi! My name is Loki. The shelter had originally named me Listener but Foster Mom said that indeed was an oxymoron of a name for a teenage doggie, so Loki the mischief maker fits me better. *wink wink*
I came from a shelter place in Bastrop and was temporarily fostered in a home with school age kids. Whether it was belly pats, homework or Lego transformer toy time, I enjoyed chilling with the kiddos.
At my current Foster Home there are lots of dogs and I have to admit, a few of them would label me “annoying” or “obnoxious” because I introduced myself by jumping right in their face.
Most German Shepherds prefer a calmer more demure approach, not such an “in yo’ face* greeting. Plus, as my mischief name would imply, I get a thrill from pilfering their toys and bones. I’m working on that!
Now that the other dogs are getting used to my intrusive nature, they deal with me accordingly. So if you have another dog at your house, they’d have to be cool with my shenanigans.
Foster Mom says I’m a Shepski which means half Shepherd and half Husky. I have a creamy white-ish coat and a black saddle making for a strikingly handsome dude. But I do look more German Shepherd than Husky.
I enjoy activities such as watching my family cook. Exercising my teeth by chewing on hard bones. Chasing a ball is fun as well, Foster Mom says I’m supposed to bring it back to her, but I prefer Chase Ball not Bring It Back Ball.
I look forward to becoming part of your family.
