Lizzy is not currently spayed but could be placed in a foster to adopt home that is local to the Austin area. She would then be scheduled for spay at 6 months of age, with the Rescue's vet clinic. If Lizzy is to be adopted out of the Austin area, then she will be spayed prior to finalizing her adoption.

Lizzy is an easy going pup with a chill personality. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and isn't intimidated at all by their large size. Lizzy is a black and tan shepherd and her fur is super shiny and glistens in the sunlight.

Lizzy enjoys spending time outside running around the yard. She will at times take on the persona of a bunny and hop around trying to catch bugs or even pounces at the ground. After a good play session, she’s ready to come inside for some rest and relaxation.

Lizzy loves the water bowl and thinks it is her own personal pond for playing in so will need to be monitored when it comes to drinking time.  Lizzy takes treats nicely most of the time but occasionally will need a gentle reminder.

Of course, being a young puppy, she is still in the early stages of learning. She is working on mastering potty training and is crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night but will alert us with a few whimpers if she needs to go out for a potty break. Lizzy is working on basic commands (sit, wait, come), learning to walk on a leash and experiencing new noises and places. She would do best with a playful, laid-back dog friend that will be tolerant of her puppyness and who will help her burn energy.

Lizzy has not been around children in her foster home but we feel that she would be fine with older children as she is still learning not to jump or mouth. She has not been around cats but we feel at this young age, she could learn to coexist with a cat.

Lizzy is a joy to have around and would make a wonderful companion to an active home that will provide  love, structure and good leadership. Please submit an application for Lizzy if you’d like to make her a member of your family.
