Meet Jasmine aka Jazzy
Hi y’all. You can call me Jasmine or Jazzy for short, but I’m not short, I’m tall and almost 1 year old and already 70 pounds!
I was not properly socialized by my first humans, so when I got to the rescue, I was afraid of everything. Usual everyday house stuff such as vacuums, dishwashers, and the world in general was new and gave me a fright.
But alas, the rescue humans say I have really come a long way. They had a nice human sponsor me for a few weeks training at Starmark Academy and I’ll be completing that this 1st week of February.
I do enjoy playing with my canine buddies and learning social skills, which of course, I had none when I got here. Foster Mom is also a great teacher too!
One of my main “challenges” was resource guarding, but just think about it, if you got nothing your whole life and then you get stuff, well aren’t ya going to protect that stuff? Right, okay.
So at the training Academy I worked on basic training, you know, “sit” and then I worked on not worrying about my stuff so much.
I am a very sweet young gal and I want to please and earn my “Good Girl” card. You’ll need to continue on my training since I’m gonna be a BIG girl.
I had a ruff start in life, but I do see brighter days ahead. Thank you to my trainer at Starmark for starting me on the right foot…er paw….so that my adopter will not have to start square one.
