Have any of you ever watched that show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? Whelp, simply delete “5th grader” and substitoot in “German Shepherd”. I am not ‘xactly too big for my britches so to speak, but Foster Mom has already determined that I am incredibly gifted at challenging muttneuvers such as opening the kitchen step-on doohickey trashcan and very clever at escaping from my crate. Puppy’s play for this 3-4 year old brain.
Do not despair. The trash can opening incident was a one time thing and due to the impawsible lure of chicken odor. Mom explained in full detail and believe me, it was full detail about the harmful consequences of eating trash food so I don't do it anymore. Lesson learned, I am indeed a domesticated German Shepherd Dog and not a trash bandit like a racoon.
I love being with people. I love being in a Foster Home and hearing those three little words that every good girl wants to hear. Chick. Ken. Treat. That’s right, I love to hear chick ken treats!!!! My favorite. I also love to play with my furry brothers and sisters and swipe the ball from their mitts so that I can chase it.
I am house and crate trained too, as long as you can out-clever me at locking it! I have all that Dogtor stuff done like my spay, my shots (ouch!) and my microchip. I did test positive for Heartworms and Foster Mom has already started me on medicine to cure me of that easily treat-able ailment. If you want a gorgeous girl who repawsents all the smarts that the German Shepherd breed is known for, I am the ultimutt choice!
Basics:
Jade- spayed female, 3-4 years old, house/crate trained German Shepherd, current on shots and microchipped, heartworm positive and already started on slow kill method, good with other dogs and people, not cat or child tested, loves to chase the ball and swipe it from her foster siblings, incredibly intelligent and clever and figures out challenges like the crate and trashcan, favorite treat is chicken.
