Meet Ghost

They asked me to smile for at least one of my photos. But a hard life on the Houston streets made me take every photo as if I was portraying the role of Scrooge as Michael Cane in the 90’s version of the Christmas Carol, even though all the muppets were smiling, he was always very serious and straight faced. It was supposed to be a comedy.

My life has not been a comedy. I know the holidays are over but I do relate to the Cratchit family, not two pennies to rub together or a goose. They named me Ghost and I am hoping the ghost of the future is a very happy one indeed.

Even though I am not an actual actor, Foster Mum says to not let this grimace fool you, I am quite a character once I warm up to you and trust you. But you’ve got to earn it. Foster Mum earned my honor by mixing in some real actual chicken in my kibble. Very smart move, can never go wrong with offering a dog a meat product.

Foster Mum says I will need some time to settle in and understand that your place is my new home. Since I can be an escape artist, I will need a home with a secure fence and not be left alone outdoors or unleashed on walks. This is actually very wise advice for any new doggie, as you never know how clever we are and being lost in a strange new place would not be fun.

I am enjoying being a kept man overall, the food, the fresh water, the clean bed. I think I can get used to this. I did miss all my street buddies from back in Houston, but I did meet a new dog friend here named Sunny. I am good with dogs.

If you are the type of person who understands that going from the streets to a foster home to a real home can be quite bamboozling at first and are willing to put in some time and chicken to earn me as you buddy, I would be happy to join your family.
