 Meet Duke

I am safe and sound, but had a close call recently. I was surrendered to a scary place with lots of barking dogs. I was sadly owner surrendered due to my owner joining the military and having no one to take me in.

The shelter notes say I was sociable with human handlers and engaged in playful behavior with both male and female dogs. Yes, I’m a good boy and want to be known as a nice dude.

In the play yard, I was most interested to sniff yard independently and receive affection from handlers. I do mouth or corn on the cob gnaw at hands, seeking attention with a loose body and a wagging tail.

Owner surrendered pets can be immediately euthanized when there is not kennel space because they don’t have to be held for the owner reclaim period since they are strays.

I am a lucky boy! Lucky because a Foster Mom stepped up. Now, I can have a chance to be adopted to my furever family
