Fostered in Georgetown, Texas

Meet Cooper (again)

Hi all, I was adopted from German Shepherd rescue of Central Texas back in 2022, but due to personal medical issues of my previous owners, I am now back in the foster program and back on the market for a new home.

When I was first with GSRCTX, I was 10 months old and attended Starmark Training Academy, so at a young age, I learned basic training.

I am now about 4 years old. I am a very sweet and loving guy. I get bursts of energy and want to play sometimes, otherwise I am pretty chill.

I do subscribe to the GSD code of being a bit guardy. I let you know when there is someone around that shouldn’t be. I am cautious of strangers until you tell me that they are okay and welcome.

I am submissive to Prince, not the singer or the king’s son, but Prince, the other dog that lives here at my Foster Home.

I enjoy cuddles and kisses. I can be pretty “stubborn”, but I think we all know that is code for being a GSD independent thinker.

Although I can appear to be a rugged strong burly guard dog. I have to admit I am afraid of thunder storms. I am not destructive during them, but I get upset. Sky, why so loud?!?

I am house broken and although crate trained, I do not prefer it and really don’t need to be. I’m a good loose boy.

I am good walking on a leash and look very forward to going on walks. Ideally I am looking for someone who will let me sleep with them or chill on the couch with them. My previous owners were older and I’m used to a quieter slower pace.
