Hello. I am Cody, a Distemper Survivor. At the beginning of July, I almost died from the Distemper Virus, but my foster parents and the rescue did not give up on me and worked hard to keep me alive.  Now I am feeling good again because my distemper test came back “Negative”, and I am now a healthy happy and very active young dog.

I'm looking for a family that is active and willing to include me in their life because I am not a couch potato, by any means, and I love to be with my people.  I love to go places, provided it’s not to the Vet or another hospital.  I especially love to go on hikes.
My foster parents take me for adventures every day.  My favorite is to the nearby state park where I can walk the trails and smell all those wonderful smells.  I love the activity.  When the adventure is over, I sometimes get treated to a “Puppy Whip” at Starbucks (my favorite treat).

When I was sick, I was quarantined for the duration.  I've not learned all the things a young dog should know.  I know “sit”, “down” and “stay” but I could use some more training, especially about not getting too excited when I see my leash.  I love my people very much and don't want them to be out of my sight.  I was a stray once and I don't think I ever wanna be a stray again, it’s ruff out there.  If you're interested in meeting me, please make arrangements to do so.  I would love to meet you.
