Cheetos/hunter
Quick Stats
Hey Psssst, this is me Cheetos (aka Hunter) here to give you an update on how amazing and fun I am now that I'm coming out of my shell. Ok, so I do like to go on Bye-Bye car rides. But I have to admit that I'm just not great about getting into the car so I do need a boost in. But once I'm in, I let my fur fly and tongue hang out ready for our next adventure!
And I found out I really, like REALLY like toys and chewy bones and the hard nylabones and stuff. Oh and I especially like something my foster mom calls hooves! Yum!! I'm still not much into balls - but toys? Oh yes please now that I know how fun they are cuz I never had those when I was growing up.
And I'm not just another pretty face either. When I first got to my foster mom's place, my long hair was all over the place. She said it was like wrestling a bear when she tried to brush all the knots and stuff out of my fur. But once she "furminated" me, whatever that brush thingy is called, I realized how wonderful our grooming sessions are and now I'm also handsome debonair guy that will look great next to you when we go for walks and rides! So, you can call me Charming Cheetos or Handsome Hunter. Either way, by adopting me, I will be a stunning addition to your family!
Meet Cheetos/Hunter
So does my name mean I hunt Cheetos? No, it does not. The City of San Antonio Shelter named me Cheetos. But when Foster Mom got me, she felt I needed a stronger, non snack name, so she refers to me as Hunter.
But if I’m being honest, if you hid some crunchy Cheetos around the house, I’d be down to sniff them out. So kinda yes, I could totally be a Cheetos Hunter.
The first thing people notice about me is that I sport a very lush thick coat. It’s a stand out feature. It makes me look big and stout but I’m only about 65 pounds. I do enjoy eating though, and immediately go into my crate for dinner or snack time.
At the shelter, I was labeled as “shy” but it was a scary place. I still get anxious at times because I’ve had lots of uncertainty as of late and would really thrive in a stable home with a person who wants a best bud.
Once I am comfortable and bonded to my human, I’m a fairly laid back type of guy. I sleep through the night in my crate. I am not really into playing with other dogs or toys, but I do enjoy a chewable toy or treat.
My Foster Home has LOTS of dogs, although I’m good around them, I’m not that into them. I am a very human focused guy. I bond quickly to a human, especially the one who feeds me, and I really want a human and a new home of my own.
- Neutered male
- About 4
- Current on vaccinations
- Heartworm positive slower treatment started
- Microchipped
- About 65 lbs
- House and crate trained
- Good with other dogs, but human focused so would make a great single dog
- Good with people
- Not tested with cats or children
- Human focused, loyal, bonds strong
