Betsy has a temperament that is incredibly calm and sweet. She enjoys being with her people but takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people. She enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She is always up for a good chase around the yard and some tug of war.
Betsy enjoys cuddling up next to you on the couch and soaking up your affection. Those big soulful eyes and soft ears have a way of melting hearts left and right. You can't help but be drawn in by her gentle nature. But don't let that fool you - Betsy is still very much a puppy! She loves to play and can get quite rambunctious at times. Her long legs allow her to bound around the yard with endless energy.
With her intelligence and eagerness to please, Betsy is going to excel in training. She's already responding well to positive reinforcement and picks up new commands quickly. An experienced owner who is committed to continued training and socialization will have a wonderful, well-behaved companion on their hands.
Betsy has not been around children in her foster home but we feel that she would be fine with older children, only due to her size. She always takes treats very nicely, does not jump and very rarely is mouthy.
Betsy would thrive in a home that can provide her with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and structure. A fenced yard where she can safely roam and play would be ideal. And regular training sessions, whether at home or in a class setting, will help channel her energy in a productive way as she matures. If you have the time, patience, and love to offer this special girl, Betsy could be the perfect addition to your family. Her gentle spirit and affectionate nature make her an absolute joy to be around. If Betsy might be the one to steal your heart, please fill out an Application.
