Meet Abby
Eeek! I had been attacked by some other dogs before I got to the shelter. The shelter put bandages on my wounds and hid antibiotics and pain meds in some treats. Once I got to the rescue, I finished out my antibiotics and healed up.

Do I hold a grudge? A little bit. I’m a bit leery of stranger dogs at first, but once I warm up and feel assured they won’t attack me, I do just fine.

But honestly, I wouldn’t mind being an only dog. I quite enjoy the attention and pats from humans over the drooling and bouncing of dogs. Plus humans dispense treats!

The wounds were the most immediate needs, however, I was in very poor condition way underweight fur did not look good. My life had been very bleh.

Now I eat like a champ and will do anything for a treat. My coat is shiny and I’ve gained the proper weight.
Instead of worrying about being hungry or attacked, I can now spend my leisure time enjoying a chew treats such as the hooves or filled bones.

I am very comfortable in my crate but do enjoy to run around the yard and play, especially when the sun is shining on a nice day.
