                                      Carmen - Young Female

                                      Picture
She's about 6 months. Not spayed. Very well behaved and easy to train. She seems housebroken. Seems to get along with cats and dogs. Loves people and wants to be close to someone. My vet thought shep/beagle.

If you are interested in learning more about this sweet pup, please contact Carmen Korpik at 512-689-4608.

                                      Huck - Senior Male

                                      Picture
Huck is a 12 years old Australian shepherd mix. He appears to be a very sweet dog who at this point in time is miserable unless he's very close to his two hound friends, Beau & Jenny. I wish I knew what kind of hounds they are. Huck, as well as the two hounds, is current on all vaccinations, is on Heartgard and Frontline Plus. His weight on the vet record shows that he is an 82-pound boy.

Huck hasn't really been taught leash manners so we are working on that and he, Beau & Jenny all are learning fast. He appears to have been left outdoors the majority of the time and when the woman did let them in because of the weather, she would put the three of them into a small utility room with the door closed. I have moved them right into the house, especially at night, and have found that they behave well and seem to be quite happy indoors. Huck is good with other dogs and appears to be a generally easy-going fellow.

If you are interested in adoption Huck, please contact: Nancy Jensen-Case @ nancy@dreamtimesanctuary.org

Jenny Belle - Female Hound Mix

                                      Picture
Jenny Belle came to Dreamtime Sanctuary about a year ago with her brother, Bobby, when her family  had to face an unplanned move which could not include the dogs. Jenny Belle had no real idea at that time of how to walk on a leash, thinking that the idea was to drag her human along behind. We began to work with her and she has proved to be a quick learner who really likes to please.

She has learned to sit, walk quietly on a leash  and to focus on her person. She is a loving girl who weighs about 60 pounds; I think the weight must be in those long legs.  Jenny Belle appears to especially love children and to want to spend all of her time in the company of her preferred person. She gets along very well with other dogs, male and female alike and is gentle with the puppy who recently arrived at our sanctuary.

Jenny Belle is fully house broken and crate trained and is ready to become your forever dog. She would be equally happy going for long walks with you or cuddling with you after a long day. She is non-reactive to cats but I would certainly recommend that her new family teach her to respect any cats who might live in their household. Jenny Belle will return your affection a hundredfold and will truly enrich your life at every level. She is a healthy, happy girl who has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations.

If you are interested in learning more about this wonderful girl, please contact Nancy Jensen-Case, owner and director of Dreamtime Animal Sanctuary in Elgin, Texas.  Our email address is nancy@dreamtimesanctuary.org

                                      Bobby - Male Hound Mix

                                      Picture
Bobby is now a four-year-old hound mix who arrived at Dreamtime Sanctuary as a three-year-old. He came with his sister, Jenny Belle, from afamily who was faced with an unexpected and unplanned move. Like Jenny Belle, Bobby was not aware of proper leash manners. He has, however, learned quickly over the past year and now walks rather nicely next to me. As I worked with these beautiful siblings I quickly realized that they tended to “hide” behind one another so that neither was blooming or progressing in one another’s presence. When I separated them and placed them with other dogs in the Dreamtime “pack” each began to realize his or her full potential. For this reason, I prefer to place themin separate homes.

Bobby likes other dogs and shows no aggression with them. He has learned to walk on a leash and is loving and charming with children. It hasbecome clear that he would very much like to have a “child of his own.” He is, of course, a hound and so will enjoy exploring new scents as thetwo of you walk, play and explore the world together. He longs to become someone’s forever companion and will be equally happy going for long walks with you or snuggling together at the end of a long day.

Bobby weighs about 60 pounds, is quite healthy and is current on all vaccinations. He is also neutered. Please consider opening both your home and your heart to this beautiful and loving boy.

If you are interested in learning more about this wonderful boy, please contact Nacny Jensen-Case, owner and director of Dreamtime Animal Sanctuary in Elgin, Texas. Our email address is nancy@dreamtimesanctuary.org

Zaan - Senior Female German Shepherd Mix

                                      Picture
Zaan is a 9 year old female.  Her owner states she is spayed. Her temperament seems to be better around females. She is leary around males which may explain why the owners son had no interest in her at all. During the visit she would try to love on him...he totally ingonred her. She would be great for an indoor outdoor pet. I feel she would be best with a couple or a single adult female. She loves to walk around the hospital with me in the morning. Zaan is extremely loving to me and other females. I'm treating her as a preventative for all bacteria and worms. I will be testing her for heartworms when I find her a home. Even if its a foster home. She is here at the hospital with me for now.  I need to find a home for her fast, she is in danger of being euthanized.

For more information about Zaan, please call Jenni on her cell 214-283-6644 or at work 972-270-5404.

Lili is an incredibly smart and highly energetic female German Shepherd.  She knows "sit", "come", and "inside".  She is friendly with humans and young dogs.  Lili monitors the fence lineand feels that she needs to protect the yard and house from all strangers. She is aggressive at the fence line and needs leash raining but I am continuing to work with her because she is worth it. Lili is working with Buddy's Chance and a personal trainer.  Lili is trained and contained with invisible fence inc. She has been showing signs of aggression and is in need ofsomeone that can give her the time and effort she needs and deserves, at this time I feel that she may not be able to live with me anymore.

If you are interested in learning more about Lili, please contact Colleen Gugan at 512-632-7439.
