Hi, Pepper is my name, playing ball is my game. I am taking applications for a person that loves to play ball as much as me! My foster Mom uses a chuk-it stick, as I get very excited and grab for it when I am playing. I love children, but might not be OK with really young ones, as I might go for the ball the same time they do, or accidentally knock them over. I get along great with my foster brothers and sisters, and avoid confrontation with other dogs. I just want to have fun. I will even let them take my ball if they insist and will go find another one.
My foster Mom says I have heartworms, although I haven't noticed. The rescue will provide the adopter with all the meds and instructions till they are gone. If you want to do the regular treatment, you would have to keep me quiet for two months, and that would not be fun, but could be done at our vet after you adopt me.
I am still underweight a bit. I was so thin that when my foster Mom rescued me, she said I was a stick dog. I love to eat, but I play a lot so it takes me a while to put on weight, but I am doing great! My coat is nice and shiny now, too. I like to go for car rides, and walks, but would rather play ball and be your new best friend. So please apply for me!
Love, Pepper
