Emma is a young, beautiful girl that was rescued from euthanasia at the shelter. She is a perfect size at only 65lbs and relatively easy to handle.
She came to us with no training and has learned sit and down in her first week. She does not know what toys are but wants to romp with us. She nuzzles and kisses but doesn’t over kiss. She is not much of a whinner, crier or excessive barker. When alone, she just lays down. She seems very calm.
We took her into Home Depot with us and she did very well with all the people and noises around her. Emma loves to go for car rides, travels very well in the crate and does not get carsick.
Emma will splash in her water bowl, so we keep a small amount of water in it to discourage her. She will probably do best with a raised food and water feeding station. She is not a fussy eater and seems to be housebroken but hasn’t communicated her need to us. She pulls only slightly on the lead and follows easily when directed elsewhere. She stops whatever she is doing when we say “No” and doesn’t want to disappoint us. Obedience training is always a good plan to help communication between you and your new pet.
She is a gorgeous example of the breed and will make someone a wonderful companion. Emma can have meet and greets with potential adopters till July 22 and then again, after September 22 but not in between those dates because she will need to remain calm and quiet for her Heartworm treatment.
