Turns out one of our previous pups, Hank, is famous! One of our volunteers spotted him in a local magazine.
The article says:
"The first year of Hank's life may have been rough, but his luck changed after ending up at German Shepherd Rescue of Central Texas. During the past two years, Hank has gone from zero training to becoming certified as a therapy dog with Divine Canines. His handler, Brenda Walk, is a physical therapist, and patients have come to expect Hank at the clinic, ready to help them with exercises. In addition to Hank's busy schedule as a therapy dog, he enjoys a good game of catch. He has seen marked improvement in his coordination and sometimes can catch the ball in the air the first time before it bounces! He has also been known to climb on to a paddle board on Lady Bird Lake, and once even made an appearance in an eight person rowing boat, but that is a story for another day....."
