Here is a wonderful update from Hope's new home. Hope was known as Shayna when she was in our rescue group. We think her new name really suits her! Hope's new family includes a dog buddy named Nia and two human companions. She brings comfort to her new human companion who is both physically and mentally disabled.
Her new family writes: "I got Hope on Saturday. Here are some pictures from yesterday and this morning. Hope is sleeping now, she is exhausted! LOL. I will keep you updated on how she is doing. All my dogs and cats are our children. Thank for again for the gorgeous girl, she will have a better life than some people."
We adopted Mara. She is the sweetest girl in the world. Getting along fantastic with everybody, even our four cats. She has really completed our family of four kids and four cats. Everyone adores her. Thank you so much for allowing her into our home!
We love updates from our former foster dogs. Toby's new family writes:
We took some fun photos with Toby this evening and I thought I should send an update. We are still completely thrilled to have him in our family.
He and our cat get along fine. They pretend like they aren't best friends, but we can tell they like each other. Occasionally Toby will run at Gato a little too fast to play, but he recovers quickly.
We took Toby for his first camping trip a few weeks ago. He's got his own pup tent (the green shelter attached to our tent in the photo). He did fantastic.
The only thing we need to work on is containing his energy when he sees another dog he wants to say hi to. He jumps and pulls like crazy, but we're working on it. We had a great session with Sandy a while back and she got us going on leash training.
He completely over his heartworm treatment and we are starting to run in the mornings. So far we only do about two miles, but he seems eager for more.
He's made friends with our friends and family's dogs and loves to have play dates. He's been to work with me to visit and had a good time greeting people like he did with Michele. We are so grateful to have him and have loved every minute with him.
